Fishing Report (Green Bay, WI) June 17-30, 2017
Fishing
has been excellent, most full day guided trips going over 30-fish days. Walleye are
moving all over the system now, look for alewife near rock humps with clear
water to slightly stained. Jigging with paddletails are producing varied results and casting crankbaits producing some days. Casting is far more
productive than trolling. Hint: don’t troll--fish are fast figuring out that a
horizontal moving bait is going to get them hurt. If you have to troll, run
crankbaits, hitting bottom with speed usually around 1.6 to 2.2mph. All baits
should look like a shad or alewife. God bless and good fishing!

Fishing Report (Green Bay) June 1-16, 2017
Fish
are coming on trolling, but mostly jigs are a far better and more consistent
option. Paddle tails and fluke style baits with heavy jigs being dominant.
Jigging fast with a pause. Look for shallow rocks with bait; a little wind
always helps. Catching 10 to 35 fish has been common. Good Fishing!
