Fishing Report (Green Bay, WI) June 17-30, 2017
Fishing
has been excellent, most full day guided trips going over 30-fish days. Walleye are
moving all over the system now, look for alewife near rock humps with clear
water to slightly stained. Jigging with paddletails are producing varied results and casting crankbaits producing some days. Casting is far more
productive than trolling. Hint: don’t troll--fish are fast figuring out that a
horizontal moving bait is going to get them hurt. If you have to troll, run
crankbaits, hitting bottom with speed usually around 1.6 to 2.2mph. All baits
should look like a shad or alewife. God bless and good fishing!
